Some exciting things have been happening y’all, and I couldn’t feel more guilty for not sharing my experiences with y’all. I’ll go ahead and catch you up. I ended my career with the Advertising company, after 4 years I decided it was time for me to create a new path and a new journey for myself. Closing one door is very difficult and I’ve knocked on a few doors but there was never an answer, I guess I was just knocking on the wrong doors…
Maybe a reason why all the doors are closed so you could open one that leads you to the perfect road like a lightning bolt, your heart will glow and when it’s time you’ll know
you just gotta ignite the light and let it shine just own the night like the 4th of July….
Luckily the transition was fairly easy. I was definitely sad to leave because of many reasons, but I was also happy to leave because I knew there was something bigger for me out there. With that being said, I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without those four years. I’ve gained so much knowledge and experience and so much more. So for those of you who are wondering, I am now working with an event planner, this is definitely my dream job to say the least. I’m so fortunate to have had a great boss and to move on to another boss who is equally as great. I know understand how rare that is; to have two great bosses back to back. As many of you know I was recently in Boston and now, you know why! I traveled to Boston with my boss for my first event! Read more about that later! I had a great time and I overcame a lot of mental obstacles.
Ready for the moral of the story? Work, work, work, work, work. I have finally found my passion, besides acting. I’d like to express the importance of work experience while in school, don’t overwhelm yourself but understand that there is so much opportunity outside of those classroom doors. Ask whoever you can if they have any work related to your industry, go to networking events, you’ll be so happy you did; I am. I couldn’t be happier for my time spent with my Chamber One group through the Chamber of Commerce, at the time getting up early, getting dolled up and being social at early hours is tough, but so worth it.
I’m heading out on another work adventure and I can’t wait to share with you more. Follow me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for updates. I may be incorporating a YouTube channel in there at some point also! Enjoy! I’d love to chat with some of you, feel free to reach out to me. Something that is also really beneficial to me if blog post topics, I have found a passion for motivational speaking as well and I’d love to get some feed back from you. Thanks!
